(Rawdon) A man in his twenties, who was missing after falling Friday afternoon in the Ouareau River, in Rawdon, in Lanaudière, was found lifeless on Saturday by divers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) .

The victim would have lost his footing on a rock in the Parc des Cascades before being carried away by the current, according to the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), Stéphane Tremblay.
Patrolmen combed the banks at 4:45 p.m. Friday, before the SQ boats continued their search on the river.
The SQ helicopter was also dispatched to the scene at the end of the evening, but the search was interrupted at nightfall on Friday evening. They resumed on Saturday morning, with SQ divers who found the man’s body around 10 a.m.
