On June 15, 2023, Johnny Hallyday would have celebrated his 80th birthday! But the singer died on December 5, 2017 from lung cancer. A few days later, the Idol of young people was buried in the marine cemetery of Lorient on the island of Saint-Barthélemy. “Here, no one bothered him. Johnny dreamed of ending his life here, we wanted to settle there all year when Jade and Joy were at university… We were judged a lot on that, but it was his choice. It’s complicated for the fans to move around, but when they make this pilgrimage, they understand this choice and his love for this island.” explained Laeticia Hallyday.
A beautiful tribute
Since then, many fans have made the trip to gather at the rocker’s grave. This was the case, Saturday, June 17, 2023. They were still numerous to pay tribute to the interpreter of Light the fire. Images were unveiled by a fan account and reposted by Jade and Joy’s mother on her account instagram, on this Father’s Day. With this video, we could read these few words: “A very big thank you to Jean-Pierre who takes care of Our Johnny’s grave every day. Thank you for his fabulous work at the Lorient cemetery. And for making his grave magnificent with messages from the fans and for flowering the tomb of our boss. Johnny would be happy to know that his friends are taking care of him and his memory.”
Something to please the former model, currently in France and most certainly affected. She is not the only one since several Internet users have reacted, in particular this one who also wanted to thank this famous, Jean-Pierre who carefully watches over the Taulier tomb.. “Yes a huge thank you and a deep gratitude to Jean Pierre who maintains and continues to take care of the place where our Johnny rests. It is magnificent and always so flowery and illuminated. We feel the love and the respect he had for him”she noted.
