For a long time, Laeticia and Johnny Hallyday have made Los Angeles their land of welcome. The couple had wonderful family moments there, in the idyllic setting of their villa in Pacific Palisades. A property sold last February at the initiative of the rocker’s widow. The one who found love in the arms of Jalil Lespert explained herself on the subject on RTL.
With the radio, which had the chance to be welcomed in its new house located less than 1 kilometer from the old one, Laeticia Hallyday spoke of this voluntary move. If the walls are lined with pictures of Johnny (“For me it will never be gone, it will always be there in my heart, it is part of me and of my life“), however, she wanted a new start.”He absolutely wanted the children to continue to be educated here [Jade et Joy sont d’ailleurs officiellement devenues américaines, NDLR] and to flourish in this city which meant so much to him and to us. Anyway, I don’t see myself living anywhere other than here, (…) near the ocean which brought a certain balance to Johnny and which is like a refuge for us“, she says. The couple also shared their time for a long time with their superb residence of Saint-Barthélemy, sometimes available for rent.
Laeticia Hallyday, very touching when she spoke of her long mourning, also explained that putting her bags elsewhere, in a place that was not loaded with memories of Johnny, had helped her daughters a lot. “They saw me so unhappy, they carried my pain for several years and they did not manage to grieve. So they started to mourn with this move (…) We moved very far from the old house, we keep the same habits“, she explains.
As a reminder, Johnny Hallyday died on December 5, 2017, in his house in Marnes-la-Coquette, after a long fight against cancer. His body now rests in the small marine cemetery of Lorient, in Saint-Barthélemy.
