Lady Gaga has confirmed on Twitter that she will portray Harley Quinn in the ‘Joker’ sequel. The release of the film directed by Todd Philips is scheduled for October 4, 2024, almost five years to the day after the first part.

This is the subject that has been agitating the web for several hours. On her Twitter account, Lady Gaga published a teaser of a few seconds on Thursday evening where we can see her silhouette as well as that of Joaquin Phoenix dancing on Cheek-to-cheek by Fred Astaire.

While the HollywoodReporter announced in mid-June the start of talks between the singer and director Todd Philips, this publication confirms that Lady Gaga will play the role of Harley Quinn in this thriller on the Joker, schizophrenic anti-hero of the DC Comics universe.
Golden Lion of the 76th Venice Film Festival, the first part of the feature film was nominated for the Oscar for best film and finally won that of best original music as well as best actor in 2020. The director of very bad trip and War Dogs revealed at the same time the name of this new opus Madness for two, inspired by a medical term corresponding to a psychosis shared by several people.
In this sequel, it would therefore be a question of the meeting within Arkham prison between Arthur Fleck – alias the Joker – and his psychiatrist Dr Harleen Quinzel. Become Harley Quinn, she falls in love with the sworn enemy of Batman and ends up becoming his accomplice.
The magazine variety reveals that this component could well be in the form of a musical. A godsend for the interpreter of A star is born and House of Gucci. Lady Gaga succeeds Margot Robbie who played Harley Quinn three times in Suicide Squad (2016), Birds of Prey (2020) and The Suicide Squad (2021).
