Montreal police are taking extreme measures to identify the perpetrator of a sexual assault that occurred on October 24, in Lachine. A mobile command post will be deployed in the area on Wednesday to try to identify potential witnesses.
According to the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM), the event in question occurred between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on October 24, in the area of Duff Court Street.
An individual, whose composite portrait was released on Tuesday, then “grabbed his victim and committed gestures of a sexual nature before touching him,” reports the police force.
At the time of the incident, the victim managed to escape by taking refuge in a nearby apartment building.
According to a police description provided to the media, the wanted suspect is a white-skinned man who is aged in his early twenties, approximately 1.7 meters or 5 feet 6 inches tall. He has brown eyes and brown hair.
At the time of the event, the man was wearing a black hooded sweater, black sweatpants, black shoes and a gold chain with small links.
A mobile command post will be in place on Wednesday, between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m., near the intersection of Duff Court and Esther-Blondin streets. The police thus want to “attempt to find potential witnesses who could have information leading to the identification of the suspect”.
