The investigation by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office, opened in 2020, targets a contract concluded in 2009 between the current Minister of Labor, then deputy and mayor of Annonay, and a water treatment group, Saur. The PNF suspected an arrangement.
The investigation initially concerned two works of art offered in 2017 to Olivier Dussopt by a local manager of Saur. These are two lithographs by the painter Gérard Garouste, estimated at just over 2,000 euros. However, it is not for this affair of gifts of lithographs that Olivier Dussopt is worried, but for older facts discovered during the investigation which saw the police officers of the anti-corruption office search his home. They suspect an arrangement for a contract between the city of Annonay (Ardèche), of which Olivier Dussopt was deputy mayor, and Saur, the third French water treatment group.
Last February, Olivier Dussopt had “disputed” on France Inter the idea of a “arrangement” with the water treatment distribution group when he was mayor of Annonay.
