LA-workshop Destination Design | A design headquarters in Cowansville

Unique and innovative, LA-telier Destination Design brings together a collective of Quebec companies launched by Maude Rondeau, founder of Luminaire Authentik. Gathered in Cowansville, experts and craftsmen offer everything to dress up your interior in a friendly atmosphere.

Maude Rondeau launched Luminaire Authentik eight years ago. Its original lamps made in Quebec quickly became popular and the company needed larger premises to meet demand. “I was lucky enough to be able to acquire this building, a former Loblaws, in Cowansville, three years ago. But it’s 55,000 ft.2 and I didn’t need such a large area to set up my manufacturing workshop and my showroom. So I thought about what could be developed here in order to offer a service that did not exist in the region, a new way of consuming and simplifying purchases when building or renovating a house,” says the Montrealer, who has lived in Estrie for 10 years and would have liked to find this type of concept when she moved in.

Furniture, lighting, accessories, but also ceramics, faucets and kitchen cabinets: LA-telier Destination Design allows you to find everything to furnish and decorate your home, but also great gift ideas. The founder was keen to create an inclusive concept, promoting exchanges and in addition to the coffee area, she included a co-working area without any subscription constraints.

“Cowansville is the new gateway to the East; a central point where you can find all the services, in addition to a beautiful lake, a golf course, and being 15 minutes from the ski slopes of Bromont”, remarks the entrepreneur who participates in the development of the municipality by having chosen this strategic location.
