La Tuque: three people arrested for robbery

Two men and a woman in their thirties were arrested for crossbow robbery on March 23 in La Tuque, Mauricie.

On March 23 around 9 a.m., a man found that his Tessier Street apartment had been searched and that items had been stolen.

Then, the suspects would have presented themselves “again at his home in his presence”, before leaving the scene in a vehicle, indicated the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) by press release,

“They were in possession of a crossbow as a weapon during the theft”, continued the police force, specifying that the owner was not injured.

The investigation nevertheless made it possible, on March 30, to search a dwelling on Dollard Street in La Tuque.

A first suspect, Rémy Lapointe Néron, 38, was arrested in connection with this break and enter, robbery as well as for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. He was detained for appearance.

On the spot, a 37-year-old woman was also handcuffed for possession of narcotics. She was released on a promise to appear with conditions.

In the accommodation, more than 800 grams of cannabis, 57 grams of cocaine, 464 grams of powder (unknown substance), nearly 9 grams of psilocybin and methamphetamine tablets were seized.

The next day, another suspect, who was walking intoxicated in the Dollard Street area of ​​La Tuque, was intercepted by the police and arrested in connection with this robbery. David Potvin, 33, was also detained pending court appearance, the SQ said.
