La Rochelle celebrates its victorious rugby players

It is an entire city which acclaimed its champions, Sunday May 29, in La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime). The rugby team won the Champions Cup, which was the first-ever European title in the club’s history. Overjoyed, the Stade Rochelais rugby players were welcomed by overjoyed supporters. “We have no words, they deserve it, we all deserve it together”confides a man met in the middle of the crowd.

In the streets of the city, the atmosphere is very festive. Stade Rochelais was able to celebrate a victory long awaited by its fans. “We supported them in the good times, in the bad times and it’s to live extraordinary moments like that. Last night, they were fabulous”, says one of them. Sunday evening, there is no doubt that rugby lovers gathered to continue celebrating this title won by La Rochelle.
