La Pocatière: drunk, he drives at 160 km / h in the company of a child

A 60-year-old who was impaired by alcohol was arrested while driving at 160 km/h on Highway 20, with a child on board.

The facts occurred at the end of the afternoon last Saturday, in the La Pocatière sector. The man was traveling at very high speed westbound on Highway 20 when he was intercepted.

“After checking by the police, they found that the individual was driving his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was therefore arrested on the spot and then had to submit to blood alcohol tests,” said Claude Doiron, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

The driver blew into the breathalyzer and got readings of more than double the legal alcohol limit.
