In the midst of a strike in the refineries, the march against the high cost of living and climate inaction, Sunday, October 16, is presented by its organizers as a success. 140,000 people, according to them, and 30,000 for the police and an independent cabinet, demonstrated in the streets of Paris.

The boss of the Insoumis sees in this march a first step towards a new Popular Front, which according to him will soon exercise power. “Macronie is chaos! And we embody, because we are the people who know, who are educated, who have jobs… order is us!”, he exclaimed from the podium. The leader of La France insoumise called for a general strike on October 18.
