Last and final season of There Minute Old on Arte, this summer. This time, The Minute Old is in Belgium, which does not prevent us from revisiting the genesis of this short program.

The bias has not changed: a breeding ground for known jokes; beautiful sets, representing the personality of each, static shots with basic editing, the actresses being responsible for energizing the scene, three or 4 “old women” per episode, just to vary the pleasures.

Behind the scenes, Fabrice Maruca, the creator and director of the series The Minute Old, inspired by one of the director’s short films, specifies that the jokes are rewritten a lot.

Not easy indeed to stall on the duration of 2 minutes, to manage the referrals of balls between the actresses, and to find a good fall. The whole represents some two months of writing. Then, during filming, the takes are numerous, up to 15, for the same sentence. It’s not a matter of text. Fabrice Maruca has chosen to work with headsets.
