Entering the heart of the French by being one of their favorite personalities, she has exceeded the trifle of three million albums sold, multiplied the duets with the most beautiful names on the French scene and toured in many countries.
For his new album “La Cavale”, the singer wanted to escape, freedom, “on the run”, lightness but also commitment. So, rather than “tying knots in her head” to find the right tone and the right musical color, she preferred to entrust everything to someone else: Benjamin Biolay.

The result is impressive. After a few conversations with his new interpreter, it didn’t take long for Benjamin to grasp what Nolwenn wanted to express. This resulted in the single “Brazil-Finistère“, irresistible call to dance which draws on celtic roots by Nolwenn Leroy to travel around the world, with Irish flute and uilleann-pipe. For the female side, she wanted to appeal, for a few titles, to Adé (ex-Taxi Therapy), whose song “Loin”, opens the album with an irresistible spirit dance which pushes Nolwenn’s song to a seductive side bluesy.
Finally, it is a very sensitive piano-voice which concludes the disc. “The mare“is above all a text by Nolwenn for his friend the singer Christopher, disappeared under the conditions we know.
