La Bambouseraie by Joan Brisson in Matha (north of Cognac)

Son of a winegrower, Joan BRISSON has always had a passion for botany. It was in 1998, during a stay in Anduze, that he discovered the magical world of bamboo.
Created in 1999 in Matha (15 km from Cognac), the bamboo grove invites you to discover, in a magnificent setting, more than 60 varieties of collectible bamboorare and tropical plants.
And in particular, the rarest Japanese bamboo: the Kikko or the turtle shell. At the Brisson bamboo grove, you will be offered another way to visit a botanical park with rare plants to touch, smell and taste.
