Kylian Mbappé strongly challenged by a famous rapper: ‘Be worthy’

Not a day goes by without PSG being the center of attention. Since its takeover by Qatar in 2011, the club of the capital is one of the most media teams in the world and the arrival of international stars like Lionel Messi or Neymar has only accentuated the phenomenon. With this growing notoriety, the slightest problem sometimes takes on a delirious extent, but the latest controversy is much more serious than the others. In the team’s last game, the Senegalese midfielder Idrissa Gueye was not on the pitch or on the bench.

Although able to play, it seems that he refused to take part in the match because of the shirt specially designed for the fight against homophobia. Last year already, he had pretended a sudden gastroenteritis and had not been aligned. The controversy swelled after this absence which questions and politicians got involved, like Valérie Pécresse, who demanded sanctions against the player. Conversely, several personalities seek to defend Idrissa Gueye by highlighting the player’s freedom to wear this jersey or not. Among its defenders, we find one of the biggest stars of French rap in the person of Booba.

Why not show him more support (you or the other players) since you are a ‘team’?

Very active on Twitter, the 45-year-old rapper called out one of the stars of Paris Saint-Germain, Kylian Mbappeso that it positions itself on the subject. “Hello Kylian what do you think of the controversy over your team-mate and why not show him more support (you or the other players) since you are a ‘team’?”, he says, adding a photo of Idrissa Gueye with a PSG jersey under his tweet. Booba concludes his speech which made a huge buzz by being liked more than 26,000 times by clearly indicating his position on the subject. “Don’t you think his moral rights are being violated? Please respond. #beworthy”he finishes.
