Kylian Mbappé, Neymar and Lionel Messi are the highest paid players this season in Ligue 1. This is what the newspaper revealed on Thursday March 30. The Team in partnership with France Bleu. The Top 10 is again 100% made up of PSG footballers this year, as was the case in 2022. The podium is however upset by the spectacular arrival of Kylian Mbappé in first position. He tripled his salary compared to last year to reach 6 million euros gross monthly, without taking into account bonuses and income related to advertising contracts. The striker becomes the highest paid player in Ligue 1 history.

The new captain of the France team is well ahead of Neymar, who points to more than 3.6 million euros, a slightly lower salary. Third on the podium, Lionel Messi who remains stable with more than 3.3 million euros.

Monaco and Marseille far behind

The first non-Parisian is 11th. Wissam Ben Yedder, Monaco striker, has a monthly salary of 650,000 euros. In 13th position, Jordan Veretout is the highest salary of Olympique de Marseille with 550,000 euros per month.

In 2023, the hierarchy was reversed between Kylian Mbappé, Neymar and Lionel Messi. In 2022, Neymar was in the lead, since Bondy’s kid has largely overtaken him. Among coaches, PSG also in the lead

On the side of the coaches, it is still the PSG which holds the rope. Christophe Galtier is the highest paid coach in Ligue 1 with an estimated monthly salary of 665,000 euros, far from the salary of his predecessor Mauricio Pochettino who received 1.1 million euros.

For the second year, the team also publishes its ranking of the highest salaries of Division 1 players. And here too, it is PSG which occupies most of the Top 10. The highest paid player in the French championship is Marie-Antoinette Katoto with an estimated monthly salary at 50,000 euros, a far cry from Kylian Mbappé’s salary.
