“Kylian Mbappé does not belong to us, it’s his life”, launches Friday February 16 on franceinfo the former world football champion Bixente Lizarazu. The French striker announced to Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi that he would leave the capital club at the end of the season. “If in his childhood dreams he wants to play for Real Madrid he has the right, he doesn’t belong to us. (…) He gave PSG seven years and I think it’s normal that he want to experience something else”insists the Franceinfo football consultant.

“It’s a loss for the League 1, huge, that’s for sure”, also recognizes Bixente Lizarazu. But for Kylian Mbappé “It’s a fantastic challenge to take on if he goes to Real Madrid”. For the former 1998 world champion, Real Madrid “It’s the club where he should go, it’s a club that has won 14 Champions Leagues, he wants to win it. (…) It’s the biggest club in the world, it’s legendary”.

“And then also, I think we will let him go a little more”assures Bixente Lizarazu. “In France, we tend to comment on all his actions and that must be difficult to live with. I found that in France he had a lot of pressure and perhaps he will have a little greater peace of mind in Madrid”points out the former footballer.
