Kremlin refuses to comment on ISIS claim during investigation

The Kremlin still refuses to comment on ISIS’s claim of responsibility for the attack on a Moscow concert hall which left 137 dead. The Islamic State group in Khorasan “has carried out several attempts” in France in recent months, according to Emmanuel Macron. The Islamic State terrorist group in Khorasan, which claimed responsibility for the attack on the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Russia, “tried several times to touch French soil”said Emmanuel Macron during a trip to Guyana. “This particular group, which is apparently involved in this attack, has carried out several attempts on our soil in recent months.”

The four suspects placed in pre-trial detention. The four men suspected of having committed the Moscow attack were placed in pre-trial detention after their appearance before a court in the capital on Sunday. Their detention, set until May 22, may be extended pending their trial, the date of which is not yet known.

The number of injured rose to 182. Some 101 people were still hospitalized on Sunday, according to local authorities.

The United States rejects Ukraine’s involvement. There is no “no proof” that Ukraine is involved in the massacre, and “IS is responsible”, insisted the American vice-president, Kamala Harris. Vladimir Putin had mentioned a link with Ukraine, a theory put forward by the Russian security services.
