Korean restaurant Dakoo in Nantes

“Basically my job is to take care of purchases for large companies. And yet, today I am here to tell you about our project.

I have lived in France for 6 years. Here I missed Korean dishes a lot and I cook every day to make up for this lack. Passionate about gastronomy, I have always appreciated the world of my native cuisine and I worked for a restaurant in Seoul when I was younger. Gradually, I improved, I took lessons from a Korean chef and I really enjoyed sharing and discovering the gastronomy and culture of my country. We decided with Thibault to take the plunge and open a small Korean street-food concept in Nantes.

The French are very curious and often ask me a lot of questions about my country. For a few years, I have noticed that there is a real craze for Korean culture (k-pop, drama, films, webtoons, etc.). In addition to offering dishes from my country, I want to go further and also share a little bit of my culture with the people of Nantes.”
