A stabbing took place at a shopping center in Sydney, Australia, on Saturday April 13. At least five people have been killed, and seven others are hospitalized, including a child.
Horror scene on Saturday April 13, in the aisles of Bondi Junction Westfield, a busy shopping center in Sydney (Australia). A man stabbed at least six people. Several deaths were reported among the victims. The New South Wales Ambulance Service said a man had been shot by the police, and that he was probably the attacker. “I saw a man kill people, that’s the worst thing that I have seen in my life. (…) I thought I was going to die”confides a woman, in tears.
Five people died
Outside the building, numerous emergency and police vehicles quickly canvassed the area to evacuate the injured. “Five people died, seven others were transferred to hospital. A certain many of them are in serious condition, I know one of them is a small child“, said Anthony Cooke, the deputy commissioner of the New South Wales police. Police have not yet specified the motives for the attack. Australian authorities are calling for people to avoid the area.
