The event took place around 10:30 am near des Carrières and D’Iberville streets, in the borough of Rosemont – La Petite-Patrie in Montreal.

A 42-year-old man allegedly inflicted a stab wound on another 47-year-old man. The alleged assailant, who would then have fled on foot, was arrested by the SPVM at the end of the afternoon, in the Rosemont – La Petite-Patrie sector. ” The reason of [l’altercation] remains to be determined by our investigators present on site, ”specified Raphaël Bergeron, public relations agent at the Police Department of the City of Montreal (SPVM).

It could be an assault related to a marital triangle. Indeed, the injured man took refuge in a surrounding business holding his wound with his hand, according to a witness met on the spot. He then asked that we ensure the safety of a woman who was in his car, parked on the street. The woman in question was not injured in the altercation. “I don’t know if it’s a chicane, but there was something like [un problème] ex, recounted the witness. The man [blessé] was really vulnerable, ”he added.
