Knicks win 119-106 against Raptors, Brunson scores 22 points

(Toronto) Jalen Brunson scored 22 points, Josh Hart scored 15 of his 17 points in the third quarter, and the New York Knicks beat the Toronto Raptors 119-106 on Friday night.


Julius Randle had 20 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, as the Knicks improved to 10-0 against teams with a losing record. The Raptors are 9-11.

Toronto’s RJ Barrett scored 15 points for the Knicks, while Donte DiVincenzo made seven of his nine three-pointers, finishing the game with 21 points.

Scottie Barnes had 29 points and Pascal Siakam scored 21 for the Raptors. The Raptors failed to extend their best streak this season with three straight home wins.

Jakob Poeltl had 12 points and 12 rebounds in the loss. Dennis Schröder finished the game with 10 points and nine assists.

The Raptors made only six of their 32 three-pointers. Barnes was the best on his team, being the only player with three successful baskets in this category. He concluded the evening with three successful baskets on seven attempts from the three-point line.

The score was tied 57-57 at halftime, but Hart scored 15 straight points for the Knicks, helping them to a 33-20 lead in the third quarter.
