Klingenthal Bladed Weapons Factory House

HISTORY AND TRADITION

The House of the Klingenthal Blade Manufacture traces the history of the first French bladed weapon factory created in 1730, under Louis XV.

Thanks to the reconstitution of workshops, the visitor discovers the different trades and the know-how of the workers of the village-manufacture of Klingenthal. The collection includes sabers, swords, bayonets, cuirasses, scythes and sickles, but also the tools that were used to make them.

Historical Figures

From March 30 to October 21, 2022, the Association of Figurinists and Figurine Collectors of Eastern France presents the exhibition Figurines Historiques and invites us to discover a whole universe. So let’s dive into this world of the round, pewter dishes and paper soldiers through stagings representing figurines in French military uniforms from the Old Regime to the end of the Second Empire.
