Kings – Canadian | Drouin absent, Dvorak and Anderson uncertain

Forward Jonathan Drouin will miss a third game in a row when the Montreal Canadiens host the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night at the Bell Center, while forwards Christian Dvorak and Josh Anderson represent uncertain cases.

Drouin has not played since being hit in the left side of the face by a shot from teammate Brett Kulak last Tuesday in a 3-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings. Head coach Dominique Ducharme reiterated on Monday that Drouin was not bothered by a concussion and that his condition was reassessed daily.

The Quebec striker also participated in the Habs optional morning training on Tuesday. Dvorak was there too.

As for Anderson, Ducharme mentioned he was ill, but added that his COVID-19 test taken on Monday came back negative.

The Canadian (3-10-0) has lost his last two games. For their part, the Kings (6-5-1) have won their last five games – a streak that began with a 5-2 victory over the Habs on October 30 in Los Angeles.

The Kings crushed the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-1 on Monday night. Phillip Danault had two goals and an assist during the game.

Danault signed a six-season, $ 33 million contract with the Kings as an unrestricted free agent this summer. He had previously amassed 194 points in 360 games with the Canadiens between 2016 and 2021.
