EVZ Murtal Lions Triumph Over LE Kings

The recent clash in the Elite League saw the EVZ Murtal Lions secure a thrilling victory against the LE Kings, concluding the match with a score of 9:5. The game featured intense competition, with goals from Sulzer, Bärnthaler (2), Schiechl, Grüneis, Kuntze, Forcher, and Quintz for the Lions, while the Kings netted goals from Topkasov (2), Eschenberger, Wassermann, and Reisinger.

In front of approximately 500 fans, including nearly 100 supporters from Leoben, the match kicked off with a fervent energy. The Lions, led by captain Mario Sulzer, took the lead early on with a power play goal, but the Kings quickly responded through Noel Eschenberger. After some back-and-forth scoring, the Lions regained the lead just before the first period ended. The second period continued the trend of tight competition, with both teams exchanging goals until the Lions pulled ahead decisively in the final third.

After the game, Kings coach Michael Pollross acknowledged the need for improvement, particularly in reducing errors and enhancing scoring efficiency. “Zeltweg applied good pressure and made fewer mistakes today, which justified their triumph,” he stated. Looking ahead, the Kings are set to host the Bulls from Weiz on Saturday at 5:30 PM.

Bulls Weiz Overcome IPR Langenwang
