Passers-by strolling along the beach in Venice Beach, California, on Monday were surprised to come across monkeys riding on horses.
This unexpected scene was orchestrated to promote the newest film in the franchise The Planet of the Apes. On numerous videos relayed on social networks, we can see people dressed as primates strolling peacefully on horses on the sand. Questioned by curious people, they remain silent.
Directed by Wes Ball, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is the fourth film in the franchise since it was revived in 2011.
Starring Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon and William H. Macy, the feature film will be released on May 10.
