King Charles III leaves hospital after prostate operation

The British sovereign has rescheduled several events to allow a period of convalescence “in private”, Buckingham said.

The royal family is complete. King Charles III left the London hospital where he was admitted on Friday January 26 for a prostate operation, AFP journalists observed on site Monday January 29.

The 75-year-old sovereign left the establishment accompanied by his wife, Queen Camilla, before leaving the scene by car. He has rescheduled several upcoming commitments to allow for a period of convalescence “in private”Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

A few hours earlier, it was the Princess of Wales Kate Middleton who left the same clinic, where she had been admitted on January 16 for scheduled abdominal surgery. His recovery is expected to last at least until Easter, according to the palace.
