Kimpembe, injured in a thigh, will finally be withdrawn from the November rally

PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe, injured in a thigh, withdrew from the November rally of the France team, the Federation announced Thursday, coach Didier Deschamps recalling Barcelona’s Clément Lenglet as reinforcement.

Lenglet will replace Kimpembé on November 13 with the Blues against Kazakhstan at Parc des Princes. Injured in the left thigh and forced to withdraw from the November rally, the Parisian is replaced by the Barcelonan, announced the French Football Federation in a press release this Thursday evening. Presnel Kimpebe had however been announced earlier in the day in the list of the twenty-three players of the France team summoned to face Kazakhstan and Finland on November 13 and 16, with a view to qualifying for the 2022 World Cup. .

The Parisian, holder in Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday (2-2) and at fault on the last goal of the Germans, is the victim of a “hamstring injury of the left thigh”, according to the FFF. After having taken note of the exchanges between the medical staff of the Parisian club and that of the French team, Didier Deschamps has registered the package of Presnel Kimpembé and decided to replace him in his list of twenty-three by Clément Lenglet. PSG’s trip to Bordeaux on Saturday (9:00 p.m.) in Ligue 1 will therefore be missed.
