Launched on the North American market two years ago, the Kia Seltos returns for 2023 without major changes. A few small revisions to the equipment, a $100 price hike and that’s it.
On the other hand, it will be different for 2024 when the Korean subcompact SUV will receive a good mid-term update, as we can see on the first images unveiled today.
On the outside, the front end appears more elegant, starting with the redesigned and more harmonious grille which is interspersed over almost its entire width by an extension of the line of LED daytime running lights. Lower down, the opening in the bumper has been reworked, as has the silver trim that simulates a skid plate.
We notice of course new wheels on the sides, while at the rear, the redesigned tailgate incorporates a strip of light connecting the lights in place of the current metal bar. It gives more shine to the Seltos and accentuates the impression of width.
The bumper has also been redesigned to add muscle and toughness to the vehicle, including a more prominent protective trim.
Two images of the interior of the Kia Seltos 2024 are shown to us for the moment and it is here that we find the most important change: the redesigned dashboard accommodates two 10.25-inch screens placed one side by side to create a single interface for instrumentation and multimedia. That’s what we see in Kia’s new models, ranging from the EV6 crossover to the 2023 Sportage, not to mention the 2023 Telluride.
The shortcut buttons and dials for volume and tuning have been moved under the temperature control section, which has also been redesigned. On the console, the gear lever is replaced by a rotary selector. Finally, we notice the presence of ambient lighting.
More details on the 2024 Kia Seltos will be available following its world premiere at the Busan Auto Show in South Korea in mid-July. Sales will begin in its home market later this year and in North America in the spring of 2023. We can’t wait to see if the rumor of a hybrid version is true.
