The all-new 2024 Kia EV9 will start arriving at dealerships in December and today the company is finally giving us final pricing and specifications for this three-row electric SUV.
More spacious than a Telluride and more expensive than an EV6, the EV9 comes in three main versions, starting with Light and Wind, available only with rear-wheel drive for a suggested retail price of $59,995 and $62,995 $, respectively (transportation and preparation costs not included). Next comes the Land version with all-wheel drive starting at $64,995.
All three qualify for the $5,000 federal rebate as well as the $7,000 provincial grant, for a total of $12,000 (taxes included).
That’s not all: by choosing an EV9 Land, customers can add the Premium package ($74,995) or the GT-Line package ($78,995). We are mainly talking about aesthetic additions. For example, the Land GT-Line model has 21-inch light alloy wheels, raised roof rails, dark side molding, glossy black side mirrors as well as exclusive front and rear bumpers.
“We are the first mainstream brand to introduce a fully electric three-row SUV,” said Elias El-Achhab, vice-president and chief operating officer of Kia Canada. Therefore, we wanted to be innovative and remarkable, but also accessible. Competitive pricing and a wide selection of options will allow Canadians to choose the vehicle that best suits their lifestyle. »
In Canada, the Kia EV9 offers a choice of two batteries. Here is what the configurations look like:
- EV9 Light (one motor, 215 hp, 258 lb-ft), 76.1 kWh battery, 370 km range.
- EV9 Wind (one motor, 201 hp, 258 lb-ft), 99.8 kWh battery, 489 km range.
- EV9 Land (two motors, 379 hp, 516 lb-ft), 99.8 kWh battery, 451 km range (GT-Line: 435 km)
By the way, the vehicle is designed to charge from 10 to 80 percent in less than 25 minutes using the DC charging stations. Its maximum capacity is 230 kW.
