For many months, Khalid Fayad talked about him. Very technical midfielder, versatile but rather defensive or relay, the young man of 17 years first amazed his educators and some of his partners, before seducing beyond the borders of Grammont.
So, the one whose the aspiring contract expires, at the end of the season, has recently seen several clubs giving him soft eyes. The MHSC therefore went on the offensive, but without going all-in; not the kind of house. A trainee lease was first offered to him, before the club finally resigned itself to offering him a first professional contract.
Going so fast is not the rule, in Montpellier, and is not intended to become so. But the precocious qualities and the desires oblige to accelerate the course of the things, in certain files. Latest example to date: Elye Wahi, whom the club had to lock down prematurely, to close the door to fierce competition.

Too impatient or not, the entourage of Khalil Fayad, who has not yet spoken publicly, could also have been saddened by the fact that the pailladin was not asked to participate in the last summer preparation of the professional group.
On his situation as on the offer proposed by the team he manages, Laurent Nicollin has recently been clear and firm, in 100% Paillade on France Bleu Hérault : “He is a kid who has enormous qualities, Michel Mézy and Bruno Carotti see him as a very talented player. Afterwards, there are things we can do, others not. If there is the will, he will stay and sign pro. Otherwise, he will leave. A warning that does not prevent the club from hoping convince his nugget to continue the adventure on the land of Hérault which saw him born and grow up. Especially since coach Olivier Dall’Oglio has proven that young people have a place of choice in his mind and in his scoresheets.
Otherwise, if Khalil Fayad chose to fly to a grass considered greener by his clan, with the risk of burning his wings but the ambition to shine there, his new club would then have to pay the training allowances, or several hundred thousand euros. While waiting for an outcome, the international tricolor is no longer used in an official match and simply continues to train.
