Kevin Owens will face “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at WrestleMania

Quebec wrestler Kevin Owens will face the legendary “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in April at WrestleMania, the flagship event of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

With less than a month until the “Show of Shows,” Owens issued a challenge to the one who hasn’t wrestled since 2003 during the most recent episode of “Raw” on Monday. In a promotional video released on social media the following day, Austin agreed to step into the ring once again.

It has not yet been announced whether the two rivals will officially meet in a match, but the 57-year-old will likely be present for a special presentation of the “Kevin Owens Show”, at WrestleMania XXXVIII.

This is an incredible publicity stunt for the event, which will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Austin is a proud Texan and his aura remains strong despite only making brief appearances with WWE in recent years.

19 years ago, at WrestleMania XIX, Austin delivered his last major fight. Struggling with the injuries that eventually caught up with him, the Texan lost to arch-rival The Rock, and hung up his boots a month later.

Six times world champion in Vince McMahon’s company, the “Texas Rattlesnake” was without a doubt the most popular wrestler at the turn of the 2000s. His finishing move, the famous “Stunner”, was also picked up by Owens.
