The Nets announced Tuesday that team executives met with Durant and his business partner Rich Kleiman in Los Angeles on Monday. They “have agreed to continue to move forward with our partnership,” chief executive Sean Marks said in a statement.
Marks added that the goal remains to help the Nets win a championship.
The Nets’ chances are much better with Durant, who remains one of the NBA’s leading scorers. He is about to complete the first year of a four-year contract extension signed last summer. The possibility of him being traded has garnered attention throughout the NBA offseason.
