Kelly Clarkson: Her daughter is ‘harassed’ at school because of her dyslexia

Kelly Clarkson has revealed her daughter, River Rose, was bullied at school because of her dyslexia.

During Tuesday’s episode of Kelly Clarkson Showthe host was overwhelmed with emotion when she spoke with her guest Henry Winkler, who is also dyslexic and who has written dozens of children’s books.

She said her eight-year-old daughter had been bullied at school because she couldn’t read at the same pace as her classmates. “I was driving my daughter to school yesterday, and she’s dyslexic, and you told me you were dyslexic too,” she began. I find it unbelievable to tell my daughter that you have written about 40 books and that you are dyslexic, because she is bullied at school because she cannot read like other children.

She added that River Rose was motivated by a lecture at her school in which she discovered that famous people had learning disabilities, including problems with reading, writing and spelling.

The star of Happy Days replied by reassuring the young mother that her daughter was “part of the tribe” and also by sharing a message directly with the girl. “River! he launched to the camera. The way you learn has nothing to do with your level of genius.

Kelly Clarkson was moved and grabbed a tissue to dry her eyes before adding: ‘My makeup artist is going to kill me! It’s so nice.”

The singer is raising River Rose and her seven-year-old son, Remington, with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.
