The American singer, who became a mother for the third time two years ago, has just lost the father of two of her children and her husband Mike Mora. The 37-year-old photographer died of stomach cancer, diagnosed by doctors in 2020. Terrible news that the interpreter of Milkshake confirmed through his agent Steve Satterhwaite to the American media: “It’s the sad truth. Mike Mora is dead. We ask that you respect the tranquility and peace of Kelis and the entire family at this painful time.“. For now, the artist has not spoken on social networks.
Mike Mora did not reveal the disease to the public right away. It was on September 30 that he revealed that he had started his fight against stage 4 stomach cancer, diagnosed in 2020. To get the message across, he had at the time published a snapshot of his perfused arm during of a first hospital stay: “I post this after much thought. Not out of a selfish act, not even to make you feel bad or sorry for me and my family. But because life sometimes has unexpected things in store. I never thought this could happen to me at only 36 years old, 3 children and a wife who loves me. […] This photo was only the beginning of a long series of protocols and needles stuck in my arm” he wrote.
He who thought he was getting out of it received bad news in October, after several hospital stays and treatments to eliminate the disease: “On the morning of my last day at University Hospital Los Angeles, the doctors came to my room and gave me the most horrible news.
