Keegan Messing, Canada’s top skater, will finally be able to join the delegation in Beijing. Affected by COVID-19 in the past few days, he finally received the green light to take off for China.

According to information obtained by Radio-Canada, Messing received a fifth and final negative result and he is currently on a plane to take part in the Olympic Games.
The 30-year-old skater is an important medal hope for the all-around on Tuesday.
Messing was unable to take part in the team event on Friday. He had been replaced by the young Roman Sadovsky. The latter also took over from his teammate during the free program on Sunday.
