Katerine in conference-concert | The Press

Philippe Katerine’s pink men will not arrive alone in the Quartier des spectacles next month. Their creator will accompany them and mark their deployment with a free conference-concert at Place des Arts.

The stage meeting with Philippe Katerine, who will be accompanied by musician Philippe Eveno, will take place on May 7, at the Cinquième salle at Place des Arts. Places for this free event will be available this Monday, at noon, on the Place des Arts website.

The conference-concert will be based in particular on the book What I know about death, what I know about love, published in 2017 by Philippe Katerine. After a part devoted to “philosophical reflections”, the evening takes the form of a concert with the Philippe Brothers, that is to say the tandem formed by the two Philippes.

This event will take place on the first day of the deployment of the Le Mignonisme course. “Monsieur Rose” created by Philippe Katerine will in fact be placed in different locations in downtown Montreal, from the Place Ville Marie esplanade to the Quartier des spectacles.

Philippe Katerine, known in song as Katerine for short, is a pop artist with an offbeat imagination. He had a lot of success with his song Luxor I love in 2005, and five years later with The banana.
