Kate Middleton uncompromising: the golden rule that the children’s nanny must not break

November 2010, Buckingham Palace. The British learn the news they have been waiting for – like Kate Middleton – for a long time: the engagement of Prince William, future heir to the throne, with his long-time companion. Six months later, the couple married with great fanfare at Westminster Abbey in front of a crowd of viewers and curious people, who had come especially for the occasion. Since then, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have become parents of three children: Georges, 9 years old, Charlotte, 7 years old and Louis, 4 years old.

Kate Middleton and Prince William make it a point of honor to raise their children well. But sometimes, royal obligations oblige, the crowned heads are forced to let some take care of it in their place. To do this, there is obviously the family, including Camilla and Prince Charles, but also the nanny. Kate and William have chosen to trust Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, trained by the Norland College of Bath, renowned for its discipline and the talents that emerge from it.

But the nanny may be one of the best elements in the United Kingdom to keep children, Kate Middleton has imposed her rules. One in particular on which she makes no concessions. Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo is strictly forbidden not to pronounce the word “kids” [“gosses”, en français] according to information from the Mylondon site reported by Cosmopolitan. To call George, Charlotte and Louis, she must use their first name or the word “children” [“enfants”, en français]. The reason ? Kate Middleton wants to instill the notion of respect in her three darlings and it starts with the “respect for children as individuals“.

Very straddling their education, Kate Middleton and Prince William impose rules on themselves. One of them is to get them outside as often as possible through outdoor activities and games such as cycling or nature walks. Another very important point: spend as much time as possible with them, like any parent. Be present at sunrise, at bedtime or to take them to school. In short, Kate Middleton and Prince William want to remain parents like everyone else despite their status. They deserve a crown for that.
