At each of her outings, Kate Middleton puts England at her feet. While she was with her children, George, the mischievous Charlotte and the rambunctious little Louis during the jubilee festivities, the children returned to school and she to her commitments. This Monday, June 13, 2022, the Duchess of Cambridge appeared very elegant in a royal blue coat dress as she guided the Royal Family as they arrived at Windsor Castle for Garter Day celebrations. Prince William’s wife paired this outfit with a Juliette Botterill hat, as reported by the DailyMail.
Kate Middleton joined other members of the royal family, like her stepfather, to whom she is very close, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles. Countess Sophie of Wessex also looked lovely in a pink Valentino dress. She arrived a little earlier in the day. Among the first arrivals, we could count the presence of the son of the Duchess of Cornwall, Tom Parker Bowles, as well as his sister Laura Lopes. All these beautiful people were able to attend the investiture of the new knights of the Queen’s Garter Day, among whom Camilla Parler Bowles.
At 40, the Duchess of Cambridge has once again caused a sensation. Kate Middleton had opted for a simple makeup, her hair up revealing her lovely face. On the feet, Prince Harry’s sister-in-law wore superb Aquazzura pumps worth 940 euros, in blueberry color. Like the Duchess of Cambridge, Laura, the daughter of Camilla Parker Bowles, had also opted for royal blue. If she has always preferred to stay away from the spotlight, she nevertheless has a very good relationship with her half-brothers, Prince William and Prince Harry. Both also attended Laura Lopes’ wedding to former Calvin Klein underwear model Harry in 2006. And Laura’s daughter, Eliza, was the bridesmaid at Lopes’ wedding. Kate and William, in 2011.
Prince Andrew, still an outcast
If all these members of the royal family were therefore present, one of them was conspicuous by his absence. Andrew will indeed not be seen in public during Garter Day, one of the most colorful events on the royal calendar, after the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge reportedly lobbied the Queen for his attendance regardless. He will still be allowed to attend the investiture and lunch that day, but will not be part of the procession or service.
