James Middleton, Kate’s brother, is a dog lover. Little balls of fur that drive him crazy with happiness. It has several of them and has just welcomed a litter of Golden retriever puppies. He then had to take care of finding them pretty little names, which notably gave him an idea. While Queen Elizabeth II has just died, leaving the British people speechless, Alizée’s husband has just revealed to the magazine Hello! that he had decided to appoint one of them “Bertie”, which is a reference to the nickname that was given to George VI, the father of the late monarch.
“In light of recent events, I wanted a name that was a touching tribute to the Queen“, he explained. But this story does not end there since this little one has the destiny to become a guide dog. “It was amazing that the Queen dedicated her life to service, and in many ways Bertie the dog will also devote his life to service.” he announced on his Instagram account. He recently took the pup to a guide dog center in England, where he will train in hopes of becoming friends with someone who is blind or partially sighted.
