Kate Middleton evacuated in emergency, but what happened?

The 2022 edition of the Wimbledon tournament is to be followed from June 27 to July 10, 2022 and as tradition dictates, Kate Middleton will spend a head there, in her capacity as godmother of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club which organizes the competition.

As she took her seat in the royal box to watch British player Dan Evans, she discovered she had been in contact with someone who had tested positive for Covid-19. And at the time, the rules in force were strict on the subject: anyone who had been in close contact with a Covid case had to isolate themselves.

It was then that Kate Middleton joined Kensington Palace, her residence in London, to complete her quarantine period. While she missed several engagements that week, waiting to test negative, the Duchess of Cambridge was thankfully out of solitary confinement just in time for the women’s final, which saw Ashleigh Barty win the title.

The next day, the mother of George, Charlotte and Louis had also attended the coronation of Novak Djokovic, before going to Wembley stadium for the final of Euro 2020 (shifted to June 11 – July 11, 2021), which opposed the England to Italy, and won by the Squadra Azzurra.
