Kate Middleton “alone” and “overwhelmed” after the birth of her children? It evokes perinatal “depression”

Mother of George (8 years old), Charlotte (7 years old) and Louis (4 years old), Kate Middleton – who has just been named godmother of the Alliance for Maternal Mental Health – confided in an open heart about the problems physical and psychological feelings that she had been able to feel after the birth of her three children.

In a video shared on May 6, 2022 on Instagram, Prince William’s wife confides in having known difficult days when she became a mother. “The birth of a child is one of life’s greatest gifts. But it can also be one of the most difficult times for many families. No one should face this alone“ she explains with emotion.

Addressing all women and wishing to reassure them about their role as mothers which is not always easy to manage and evoking her relationship with the son of Prince Charles, she continues: “We all know that pregnancy, childbirth and the first months and years of a child’s life can be extremely demanding in terms of time and energy. Parents often feel lonely and overwhelmed through those early years.”
