The Kassavettes group is made up of 3 guys passionate about music, living between Biarritz, Anglet and Bayonne. In this group which has a dominant pop rock, we find Luc who has a studio in the Basque Country and intermittent musician for 10 years. He is also part of two other groups: Woknote and Luc and Laura.
Dylan is from South Africa. After living in England, the singer and guitarist of the trio moved to the Basque coast. For the recording of a title, he goes to Luc’s studio, the place of their first meeting. A few months later, they recontact to work together in one and the same group.
The new band is Thierry, the drummer! Music professional for 25 years, he joined the trio while the music offered by Kassavettes is not his favorite musical style.
Kassavettes, a world of music and images
The music of Kassavettes can be discovered live in the Nouvelle Scène Aquitaine but you can discover the music video for the song “Fall On Your Sword” below. It is Dylan who is at the initiative of this clip. To support the text of the song, he uses symbolic images, creating a universe to shock the viewer, in particular by associating “contrary” images, which we are not used to associating. This cinematic aspect has an important place for Kassavettes who already thinks of the clip when he starts working on a song.
