Karl Tremblay, singer of the Quebec rock group Les Cowboys Fringants, died at the age of 47, the collective announced on Wednesday, November 15, on its website.

“He was an exemplary warrior in the face of illness and a model for us all,” greeted the group in its press release. Karl Tremplay suffered from prostate cancer since 2020. We want to thank everyone who has shown us their love over the past few years, we have been lifted up by your support.” added Marie-Annick, Jean-François and Jérôme, the other members of the Quebec music group.

He was the voice behind the success of “Toune d’Automne”, and “LesStars Filantes”. The group Cowboys Fringants also has nearly 26 million views on YouTube for their song “America is crying”.
