Karine Le Marchandé talks about her painful fight against anorexia

Suffering from eating disorders since an early age, Karine Le Marchand recently returned to her fight against anorexia. In an interview with our colleagues from Gala to find on newsstands this Thursday, November 4, the presenter of the‘Love is in the meadow went back to her beginnings in modeling: “When I started I was told I had too many hips. I started playing sports, I hardly ate any more… I went under the 50 kg bar for 1.77 meters ”, explained the one who is today one of the flagship hosts of the channel M6.

During that same interview, the 53-year-old also confessed that she tends to see life in white or black and quickly get to extremes: “In life, I am all or nothing. For everything. And in hyper control ”, a taste for excess that did not help her when she was a top model.

Returning to this period of her life, Karine Le Marchand took the opportunity to talk about a scourge that she saw with her own eyes: sexual and sexist harassment in the modeling world. Represented by the famous “Elite” agency at the time, the former companion of Lilian Thuram was not a victim, but nevertheless denounced an “unhealthy” climate. “The only thing I remember is that at the time there were fine parties organized by disgusting old men, it was unhealthy, but agreed”, remembered the host.
