Karamelle takes you to Alsace wine trip

Riesling, Gewurztraminer, late harvest, sauerkraut, you are in Alsace! Direction Orschwihr to the Valentin Zusslin estate. Marie and her brother Jean-Paul took over the vineyard in 2000, they are the 13th generation on the land. A 16-hectare vineyard all in biodynamics, fine, gourmet and well-balanced wines. To be in total immersion, Karamelle stayed 15 days with Marie directly on the estate on a harvest mission! Waking up at 5 a.m., coffee schnapps in the vineyards, tasting of wines from the plot of the day, a real authentic experience.

Karamelle: In the spirit of respect for nature, everything was obviously done by hand, it’s sport but when you taste the wines it’s worth it! Visit the domain!

Then, push 5 minutes by car to the Koehler restaurant at Jérôme. It offers the gastronomic restaurant on one side, the hotel with everything you need to pamper you and above all the good plan is the opening of the wine bar part. It’s uninhibited, it’s good, and you will find the wines of Marie and Jean-Paul on the restaurant’s wine list, in the catalog of more than 500 exceptional references hidden in the heart of Alsace. To taste these wines without taking the train, go to these two addresses in Bordeaux: at the front counter of the Palace or at the Halles de Bacalan in Vinimarché.
