Vice President Kamala Harris is going from running for president to drag racing! She makes an appearance on the ninth season finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Starsa reality TV series, in which former contestants return to compete for a place on the “ Hall of Fame » of the franchise created in 2009 and hosted by the famous American drag artist.
In a segment set to air Friday, Vice President Harris appears alongside Michelle Visage, choreographer Jamal Sims, Lance Bass, Leslie Jones and Cheyenne Jackson to urge viewers to vote in the Nov. 5 election.
“Every day we see our rights and freedoms under attack, including the right of everyone to be who they are, to love who they love, openly and proudly,” said the vice president and Democratic nominee. “We are all in this together, and your vote is your power,” added the former San Francisco district attorney and longtime LGBTQ+ ally.
The clip was filmed last month, before the vice president succeeded Joe Biden in the Democratic presidential race on July 21, when the president announced he was stepping down to support Ms.me Harris.
Season 9 of the series is broadcast on the Paramount+ platform.
