Justin Timberlake apologizes to… no one

In concert Wednesday evening in New York, Justin Timberlake took the opportunity to apologize… to “absolutely no one”.

The extract from the concert that the singer offered at Irving Plaza in Manhattan circulated on social networks on Thursday. Timberlake then celebrated his 43rd birthday.

“I would like to take this opportunity to apologize… to absolutely f***ing nobody,” he said, cheered by the crowd, before performing his song Cry Me a Riverreleased in 2002 following his breakup with Britney Spears.

Justin Timberlake’s comments follow an Instagram post from Britney Spears on Sunday in which she apologized to the singer. “I want to apologize for some of the things I wrote in my book. If I have offended people that I sincerely love, I am deeply sorry,” she wrote alongside a video of Justin Timberlake’s visit to the Tonight Show by Jimmy Fallon. Let us recall that in October, in his memoirs The Woman In MeBritney Spears revealed that she had an abortion while dating Timberlake in the early 2000s, an intervention she would not have chosen, she wrote, if the decision had been hers.

Last week, Justin Timberlake released a new song called Selfish – a piece bearing the same name as the Britney Spears song released in 2011. This story generated renewed enthusiasm for the pop singer’s original piece, which was propelled into the charts.
