Since last February, Patrick Poivre d’Arvor has been in turmoil. The former presenter of TF1 is accused of rape by several women. The first accusations were brought by the writer Florence Porcel. The latter had filed a complaint in February with the Nanterre prosecutor’s office. She declares that Patrick Poivre d’Arvor raped her in 2004 and then in 2009. Since the complaint filed by Florence Porcel, other women have broken the silence. According to an AFP count, unveiled this Friday, December 17, 2021, at least 27 women have testified to investigators or in the press to accuse Patrick Poivre d’Arvor of rape, sexual assault or sexual harassment. Eleven of them lodged a complaint.
Among them, Laure Eude, who spoke in the columns of “Liberation” this week. She lodged a complaint last November 9 at the Amiens police station and explained that she had met Patrick Poivre d’Arvor while she was a press intern at the Cannes Film Festival in 1985. While she dreamed of doing an internship at Antenne 2 , Laure Eude tries to approach the presenter. She succeeds without difficulty. PPDA even invites him for a drink on the terrace of a prestigious Cannes hotel and in the company of a minister. “I followed Poivre, stupidly, like an animal going to the slaughterhouse,” recalls Laure, 23 years old at the time of the events she describes.
Once in PPDA’s room, Laure says the situation changes. PPDA takes out “his penis which he rubs against his bed”, describes Laure Eude. “No, I’m not here for that. I’m meeting you with the prospect of getting an internship. My future mother-in-law bought your latest book. You give the image of a romantic man. Why are you behaving. like that? ”she would have said to the host. She would then have found herself “lying without panties and pants” on the bed, PDDA above her. “I have the feeling of liquefying myself while penetrating me without a condom. My body is there, and I am elsewhere,” she describes to our colleagues. Following his testimony and his filing of a complaint, the Nanterre prosecutor’s office opened a preliminary investigation on Thursday, according to information from TF1 and LCI. The investigations were “entrusted to the BRDP, brigade for the repression of delinquency against the person”, specify our colleagues. A new shocking twist!
