Two investigating judges have ordered a trial for six people close to Paul Pogba, including his brother Mathias, franceinfo learned on Tuesday, September 10, from a source close to the case, confirmed by the Paris prosecutor’s office. These six men are being referred to the Paris Criminal Court after a two-year investigation into the kidnapping and extortion of the French international footballer in 2022.

Five of his people are suspected of having “organized” a meeting in the Paris suburbs on March 19, 2022, during which the player was kidnapped and robbed by two unidentified men who demanded 13 million euros from him.

Mathias Pogba, the player’s brother, is suspected of having provided “active assistance” to convince Paul Pogba to pay the robbers. He did not participate in the kidnapping.
